New Beginnings Poultry began in May 2011 with the purchase of my first quality stock. Prior to that, I had a few crossbred and hatchery chickens. Chicken Math soon set in and I built a home made incubator that has not been turned off since June 2011.

My flock consists of:
*LF Black Langshan
*Bantam Black and Black split to white Langshan (One White Hen The cock is split as are some of the other hens)
*BBS Cochin All offspring will be Blue or Black. I have a Black Cockerel in the pen with blue, black, and splash hens.
**Iowa Blue

*Rose Comb Rhode Island Red (Line originated with Underwood stock) This pen will produce both Single Comb and Rose Comb.
*Single Comb Rhode Island Red (Line originated with Underwood stock)
Buff Orpington
*Ameraucana This pen will produce Blue and Black offspring. There is a white egg layer and a Black Copper Marans hen in the pen for Easter Eggers and Olive Eggers.
*Welsummer

*Sussex Currently has both Light Sussex and Speckled Sussex until I find a Speckled Sussex Cockerel from Overton Lines.
