The information was excellent but I'm still considering having my pet rooster's spurs surgically removed. He's an inside/outside pet like my cat and dogs. I have a back condition which makes standing and walking very painful. Recently I had to go to the hospital for 4 days with a ruptured appendix. Brooster would not allow my neighbor in the house to care for my dogs and cats. This is a bad as having a dog that bites.
My veterinarian is a friend and it turns out that he has a vet with a degree in poultry science working in his hospital. He's checking with her and will get back to me. I now that will be a painful invasive surgery but once it's done, it will be done forever. It's either that or ringing my pet's neck. Brooster is a sweet pet for me. He likes to jump on the sofa and have me massage his wattles while he makes sweet chicken sounds.
