A pretty good article. A slight problem for me is with the list of beginner breeds. Leghorns can be very flighty and I would not recommend them for a beginner 4-H kid. I would also add something about pullorum and AI testing. All shows require pullorum, some need AI.

So 4H shows are by county. Like Delaware county has a fair and you can show at it. I assume it’s same for ffa (I’m not in it). The Ohio national Poultry Show show is in Columbus Ohio. You can also show at your state fair or open shows in ur state.

Good article! Very helpful to anyone thinking about getting into showing and good links to further info.

A couple more pictures to demonstrate a couple of things would improve the article, but it's still informative as is.
