This is actually similar to the hutches we build for temporary or growout pens. Great idea and bet it works nice until you get more chickens. 😊
Way too small for more than perhaps one chicken. Article said coop has multiple vent holes but photo really only shows one. And even pullets prefer to roost, not sit on a log in the bottom of the coop

I think this is one of the easiest coop builds I've seen. I like the large vent holes at the top and sides. I know your 3 hens are happy laying in the dark private spaces you provided and I believe they are safe at night when the coop door is closed.
