Wrapping and Packing Eggs For Shipping
This page is to demonstrate my method of packing eggs for shipping. This is not my original idea. During the time that I was building up my flock I ordered quite a few hatching eggs shipped to me through the mail. I found that this method of packing gave me better hatch rates and less cracked eggs. So this is the way I have decided to pack my eggs for shipping.
I first begin with a large box measuring 12x12x8 inches.
I then wrap each egg individually in paper towel and then a 6x12 inch strip of bubble wrap
When all the eggs are wrapped I wrap them again in bubble wrap to form a tube
And then I nestle these wrapped eggs into the box surrounded by packing material
