Lavender Orpingtons

You need a lavender bird (or birds that carry the gene) to start. I prefer to breed them to nice clean black. Since lavender is a recessive gene (you need two copies to make a visually lav bird), the first generation would be black and carry the lav gene.

Depends on what your wanting the breed for Dixie, most on here have the Lavender project Orp type in LF.
