This is a rather strange hatch. Yesterday, day 21 I had 4 out of 7 welsummers hatch. This is what I thought I'd get. I had taken 3 out and placed under a broody hen and she switched nests. So I placed them under a 2 and I thought she was going to sit but the next morning she too was in a different nest and the eggs were unattended. I put them back in the incubator and this morning one hatched. I just checked at I've got another pip.
I also had 12 black copper marans eggs and real late last night one hatched, and around noon a 2nd. I've got me fingers crossed that I will get more.
