Waited for a week to have enough eggs for our family of 4! They were amazing!
They are perfect sunnyside up! At first, I had the pan on low on a larger burner, the butter started to burn, while I struggled to get just one egg cracked! The first egg she laid was the first egg we cracked, it was a double yolker! It almost burnt up immediately, so I learned my lesson. My husband and my son shared that first egg. So then I was more cautious, I put a small pan on low heat, melted butter, took the pan off the heat. Opened the Bobwhite eggs by cracking them, then peeling off the large round bottom for the egg to pop out the bottom. I let them sit for a little to see how warm the pan was, and then put it back on low heat for about 2 minutes. They came out perfect, tiny little bites, but the flavor was so amazing and the texture so creamy, it was a very satisfying bite. I can't wait for more eggs!!!!
Gourmet breakfast thanks to our little Bobwhites! I have had coturnix eggs before and loved them, but these were like a little pop in the mouth and absolute heaven! We had them with pomegranates off our own tree, our own pear tomatoes, uncured bacon, ham, and free range chicken eggs.
