    Crop Issue?

Her urates are white again. Her poop is a normal consistency though is a slightly lighter brown than her normal so I continue to keep a close eye on it.

    Crop Issue?

Just wanted to give an update for anyone reading this. My girl’s crop continued to be sluggish and would not empty completely. It felt like it was filled with water like she had sour crop, however it never once smelled sour with all of her panting. I had a feeling that wasn’t the issue. She also...

    Crop Issue?

She continues to pant most of the time. Does not want to drink but will eat bites here and there of eggs or treats. She does not want her feed. She did poop out green and yellow a bit ago (see pic) and almost made a slight squeak when she did so like it hurt a little. Not sure what that means.

    Crop Issue?

Thank you for the response. As I said, she last laid an egg yesterday and had been laying regularly. She does not have ascites. I have had experience with that and she does not have that as of now. She is eating a little scrambled egg with coconut oil which I have given her 3 times this morning...

    Crop Issue?

Hello. I treated my flock for confirmed roundworms and just completed their 5 day dosing of Safeguard yesterday (.23ml/pound goat). One of my hens, who was never showing symptoms of diarrhea prior to deworming, was panting all night. The temperature was about 65 degrees. This morning she did not...

    Worms? Egg issues?

Layer feed from Fleet Farm. I do let them out for about an hour a day to free range as well when I can supervise them

    Worms? Egg issues?

Hello. I have 3 adult hens who I have had to treat yearly for roundworms. This has been confirmed by fecal float in the past though I did not take a sample in this year because the only vet around me that will test a sample requires me to bring the chicken in for an exam as well which is quite...

    Sour Crop and possible worms

Very little if any. I will give her more stool softener and Miconazole in a bit. I am trying to give her drops of fluids with electrolytes and probiotics throughout the day. The only thing she will take on her own is a couple sips of watermelon juice. I did just soak some of her feed in water...

    Sour Crop and possible worms

Thank you for the suggestions. I did give her the Valbazen yesterday. I also gave her a stool softener today just in case. Now that I’m thinking back, she had a poop that had a bunch of undigested grass recently so I wonder if she’s bound up further down and just having diarrhea around it. The...

    Sour Crop and possible worms

Hi everyone. I have a year old hen who has sour crop. Approx 2 months ago I noticed one of my other hens started to lay some soft shell eggs. I immediately realized something was wrong. She was eating, drinking and acting normally otherwise. Poop was also normal. I hadn’t wormed the girls in a...

    Gleet?

Here is an update for anyone that may read this in the future as there are a lot of posts with poor outcomes. My hen magically stopped draining the watery yeast the morning after my original post. Prior to that it was like a slow dripping faucet! That same day I was able to remove half of the...

    Need quick answer please! PROLAPSE

Will my chicken end up constipated after wearing this bandage all night and not being able to poop?

    Gleet?

Hi everyone. I have a year old hen that I think has gleet. She has always been one to have a “poopy butt” despite having good solid stools and occasionally needs a butt bath. A couple weeks ago I noted she looked dirtier than usual so bathed her. Two days later she looked just as bad. I didn’t...

    Capillaria Treatment

I can try to get a picture but only saw the worms once before I started treatment. They were super tiny and had I not seen it move would not have noticed it.

    Capillaria Treatment

I did see what I believe are Capillaria in one of my hens stool that has been having diarrhea. They were tiny clear/white and very fine; barely noticeable but I saw them moving. I am now on day 4 of Safeguard and the hen continues to have diarrhea. I had also previously treated for coccidiosis...
