    Seriously we do things early and late and I try to keep the chickens from running around/getting upset. Mine are all pretty acclimatized. Equipment& feed storage are a problem (rust, mold, mildew) so I buy less bulk feed at a time. Daily rain leads to standing water so I can't mow. I make sure to have elevated things & places for them to let their feet dry out during the day.

    Yeah, we all do what we need to. We get summer heat water restrictions so we replaced back & front lawns w/ paver stones w/ a little dirt betw stones for the 6 hens. Only trees or garden beds get soakerhose watered.

    That's pretty cool and soooo very different from here. I kind of have a jungle situation! I'll try to drop some pics later. I also have 30-ish chickens.
    I too am from Louisiana. Chalmette to be exact. Glad to see a fellow state on BYC. Recently joined BYC and so glad I did.
