I have 2 silver laced Wyandotte’s. That I’m thinking might be Roos but I was told that the hens sometimes have larger combs and waddles early on so I’m confused. I already know by barred rock is a roo.
We have 1.5 acres. They are just this week starting to be able to free range but only when I am out there to supervise. This is a picture of the coop and run. I haven’t seen anyone getting picked on. The smallest of the bunch is my rir.
Not sure of the dimensions I can send pictures of the coop and run . I have been feeding chick crumbles 20% protine non medicated. I’m waiting another week and I’m going to switch them to all flock. And I give them the flock treats that is a mix of meal works nuts oats and raisins. As a treat.
No lighting in the coop yet I didn’t want to use a heat lamp because they are dangerous so I have to run electric out there to put a light with a timer on it. It has been a bit cold here the last few days in the 40’s wonder if that could be it to.
She isn’t acting sick is eating, drinking and pooping no sigh of bullying and I haven’t witnessed any bullying while am outside. I am thinking the Wyandotte’s are both hens. Not 100 on that but they aren’t crowing or trying to mount each other. But no eggs yet either. But they are only 10 weeks old.
She isn’t acting sick. She is eating, drinking and pooping. and is part of the original flock I got them on labor day from tsc. I haven’t witnessed any bullying.
I have an almost 10 week old black sex link pullet that has been spending an awful lot of time in the best box. Obviously to young to be broody she is t even old enough to lay. Should I worry that something is wrong or could she just be practicing.
My Shirley girl. She comes out eats gets water...

I think what through me off the most was it was between 11am and 12pm not when the usual predators are around. And it happened so fast. Nothing is dug up no tracks were left and nothing was broken.
I am missing a 5 week old chick. They just went out into the coop last night. She was here this morning when I let them out the. Coop/run is fully fenced in and secured no feathers no blood and the ground is muddy and there isn’t even any tracks to try and pin point the theif. What ever it was...
Just for fun what breeds do you see here. I got them from tsc and we all know they get mislabeled sometimes. 2 of them don’t look like what they are supposed to be. There is a group pic and then the pics of the two in question.
