    Spraddle leg?

I think I have a very similar situation. This little chick was an assisted hatch. It was trying to pip way lower than the air cell and couldn't break through. Finally we had to help it out. It was weak and kept falling over, rehydrated it with a homemade solution and it lasted through the...

    Chick has overlapping toes

This little guy was an assisted hatch. After zipping, it stalled for more than 12 hours and was obviously too weak to progress. 24 hours later, it's up and about, eating and drinking with the others. However, it tends to fall over a bit. I think it may be caused by this foot. When it stands...

Day 22/23, no movement. Are my chicks alive? Candling photos attached.

Update. Another viable egg is hatching! The chick is slowly taking it's time...it is zipping, bit by bit. The 2 eggs in question though....I think it is time to officially call it. EGG 1 I did a float test that confirmed it. EGG 2 The egg with the safety hole, the fact that it was chirping...

    (Duplicate post deleted) sorry!

Thanks for replying although I tried to delete the post. I've officially given up on them today. Day 24. The egg with the safety hole, the fact that it was chirping away for a whole day after internally pipping and then not a peep for 3 days after. I think it's safe to say it didn't make it...

Day 22/23, no movement. Are my chicks alive? Candling photos attached.

First time hatching and I'm so excited one chick is already happily out of its shell and another one on its way. However, I've got two more eggs that I suspect have quit. Please help me analyze if they are indeed lost causes. EGG 1, Day 22 Candled from the top (round end), it looks fairly...

DAY 21 peeping stopped. (First time hatcher.)

Fingers crossed for Egg #1. Safety hole deployed but nothing more to report. Egg #2 may be a late hatcher or maybe no longer viable. No movement, or internal pip. Egg #3 suddenly went from nothing to an external pip!! Hoping we will at least have 1 chick in a few hours! So excited!!!! 4 more...

DAY 21 peeping stopped. (First time hatcher.)

Thanks. I may give it a full 24 hours since the last chirp before I try the safety hole. Maybe it's taking a break and absorbing the yolk? I just wish there were some other indication it is breathing.

DAY 21 peeping stopped. (First time hatcher.)

Update: It's been 12 hours since the last chirp I heard. I'm so worried it's too late to do anything now :( Should I try a safety hole? Internal pip definitely happened. I can see it when I candle to check.

Day 22, Heard Chirping Yesterday But Nothing Happening

I'm inthe same situation. Did your hatch work out?

DAY 21 peeping stopped. (First time hatcher.)

I know I've probably been unnecessarily obsessive over the development of the chicks. But although I've had chickens for a while, this is the first time I'm incubating them myself. So I think it's Day 21, and I've heard chirping on and off since last night from the first egg. No movement, just...
