I had that happen last year and did some of both. I thinned out some of the easier to harvest ones and left the rest be. A few of them made it through the winter, we’ll see what happens. IIRC onions are biennials, so they might go to seed…but I’ve not had much luck with onions there before so...
Thank you for posting this; I’ve been hesitating over putting my hot pepper seedlings into the ground this weekend, but it’s going to be cool and I have plenty of other stuff on my plate. Sounds like I’ll be putting that off and now I don’t feel bad about it! 😊

Also saw a load of aphids on my strawberry plants this morning - much earlier in the year than I usually see them. 😒 Sprayed them down with neem oil, hopefully that will help.
I moved all my volunteer lettuce and the bolting spinach etc. into one planter today. Now once I prep them I can finally use the rest for their intended purposes - beans and hot peppers!
Yeah decaf is for when you want coffee/tea later in the day but don’t want to be bouncing off the walls until 2 AM. I just wish it didn’t taste so soapy. 😕
I have not done this personally, but my understanding is you let the hen sit on some fake/infertile eggs for the usual span of time (or close to it), then sneak some day old babies under her at night. But success depends at least partially on the hen.
