    If you're keeping them in the run most of the day then it's best to at least double the amount of space in the current run to avoid bullying. You need at least 10 square feet per chicken in the run if they're spending most of their time in it. You could add a second feeder and waterer so that...

    Hi everyone, new member here

    We're going to be very careful with the dogs being around the chickens. We're getting a very large run to keep interaction down while keeping the chickens happy and safe. 2 of the dogs will never be around them since they're a terrier mix and a hound mix.

    We just got 5 baby Sapphire Gems on Friday and got 4 Easter Eggers on Sunday from tractor supply. (They'll be the first chickens we've ever owned so joined BYC to get in contact with more experienced owners) They were all in the same bin and we couldn't resist going back to get the Easter Eggers...
