    An update on Alice.

Everything is good! It’s actually our garage so a bit more ventilated than the basement but it isn’t too bad! Thanks for the vote of confidence on the pullet!! lol.

    An update on Alice.

Here are some updated photos of Alice! She is about 6 weeks old now. Any ideas on her breed? Also still hoping she is a hen and not a rooster!

    Too many chicks?

They are black sex link/black stars from TSC and none have the white dots on their heads so hoping they are all females!

They are supposed to be. They’re black sex link/black star from TSC and none of them have the white dots on their heads.

    Too many chicks?

That is part of my thinking too! What if, in the future, we want to expand the breeds we have and we don’t have space. Chores aren’t so much at the top of the “what if” list. We have half an acre and could accommodate a coop big enough for 11, but our skill set on building one vs buying one...

    Too many chicks?

    Too many chicks?

I first want to say sorry if this is a dumb question. Totally new to the chicken world here. We have 11 three week old pullets. Tractor supply basically told us to buy double what we wanted because several would probably die. Thankfully, there have been no losses! However, that does leave us...

    Help me ID Alice

No, she does not! We thought she looked like the D’uccle but no feathers on the legs or feet! okay cool! All of our others are black with black and yellow beaks and legs. She is noticeably larger and yellow beak, yellow legs, and yellow head so we thought she may be something different.

    Help me ID Alice

Hello! We got 11 “black sex linked” chicks from Tractor Supply. One of them is not like the others :) she is approximately 2 weeks old and I know it’s a bit early but we are just stumped! Please help! Her (?) name is Alice.
