Noted. That’s as my other thought. But we unfortunately don’t have an ACO/shelter as of right now due to the last one leaving and the town having yet to fill the position. I’ll have to call around and see which ones will/can take her.
Hi! Our neighbors down the street have had a single hen roaming their yard. She doesn’t belong to anyone in the neighborhood and they’re actively trying to catch her.
We have an existing flock of 5 hens who are about 20 weeks.
If we were to take her, I do plan on quarantining her for at least...
Thank you! I did post our little Trevor and he is definitely a cockerel lol. Going to try and get some pictures of the other two and post them as well today!
If we lived more in a rural setting, I wouldn’t be so worried because I agree! But unfortunately, I can’t have Roos where we live which is a bummer because I think they’re so pretty and these three potential boys are well mannered. 🥺
my child, who’s 4, named this one Trevor when we brought it home a few weeks ago, they’re now approaching 6 weeks. I’m beginning to think my child wasn’t too far off naming it Trevor 😅. At what age can you be absolutely certain it’s a Roo?
First picture is him next to one of our girls, Reptar...
Hi! We have just started our flock, they’re about 6 weeks old now!Very suspicious about a few being Roos but my favorite girl so far is our larger buff Orpington, Reptar!
