    What breed is this?

Thank you! Hen looks like a regular white silkie, from what I understand all first gen silkies look like silkies

    What breed is this?

Hi everyone! So this baby hatched out today, first ever from this parentage and I was surprised by the coloring! The hen was a 1st gen silkie mix (no idea the other breed) and the rooster is an EE. It doesn't look like my other EE chicks from the same rooster either. Does anyone have any ideas...

Hey! This should say Australorp/EE mix! Also from my understanding Easter Egger and Americanas are different. I was told my rooster is an Americana but because of his lack of peacomb I thought he was an EE

This is an Americana/EE mix! We got the rooster 24 days ago and this baby hatched today so you can see our hen wasted no time!

    Silkies - They’re simply SPECTACULAR!

Do you only have hens? Our Black Australorp hatched May 1 and even in November wasn't laying eggs, but not even two days after we got a rooster she started!

    Show off your Peas!

So when we moved on to the farm we live on currently, there were already two peacocks living here, Billy and Willy. We have no idea how old they are but were told they are brothers. Since moving here we've adopted another peacock and 3 baby peafowl. They are all basically wild, roaming the...

What Chicken Breeds do you Dislike & Why?

I don't like turkens! I used to think they were a chicken/turkey and somehow I like them less knowing they are just a freaky chicken.

Incubating without an incubator! I have some questions...and open to suggestions 😅

Curious to see how this goes! I had a broody hen laying on a few eggs and then a week later (stupidly) put a couple more u see her, I think I'll have to set up something similar to this for those chicks hatch if she gets up to raise the other babies!

    Silkies - They’re simply SPECTACULAR!

Hey everyone! I have 7 silkie hens and a splash silkie roo (in addition to an Australorp and Americana roo) and while they aren't as dependable layers as the Australorp they are docile as can be and the perfect broody moms. I have one right now sitting on 8 eggs from the Australorp/Americana!

Here he is with two of our silkies and the australorp. The people who lived on this land before us had ducks and geese - hence the pond!

Hi! Do your hens still need a home? I have 8 hens currently (7 silkies and an australorp) and an Americana rooster (who I just got today!) in Campo and was looking for some more Americanas.
