    Roo or Pullet?

I got some better pictures. We’ve never had sapphire gems before so I’m not sure how to properly sex them😅

We got these two sapphire gems a week or so ago and were told they are both female. I’m pretty skeptical though.. any thoughts?

Black Jersey Giant Rooster In Need Of New Home-Loganville,GA

Is he still available? We have a flock of 9 (soon to be 12) hens that we consider pets and are loved dearly. Was he raised in a multigenerational flock? Does he have manners?(meaning is he gonna bully the girls or respect them). I’m in Florida!

Best rooster for a mixed flock?

I thought a brahma rooster would make us have brahma babies because we have brahmas and are looking to get more. Somehow I never knew until recently that chickens can cross breed.

Best rooster for a mixed flock?

I know who lays what egg because they’re all different breeds with wildly different looking eggs. The only two who aren’t laying are 4 and 5 years old, so they’re probably done laying due to their age. They all look very healthy and happy as far as I can tell, and it’s rare that any of them are...

Best rooster for a mixed flock?

There’s nothing we can really do about it. They’ve always lived here and there are quite literally thousands of them that nest in nearby tree’s. They used to attack us whenever I would go into our big coop since they have a nest in the bamboo, quite literally dive bombing me anytime I got...

Best rooster for a mixed flock?

They are free range in our 1/4 acre backyard from sunrise to sunset. 9 chickens total. They have access to the majority of the yard, but we have the pool and the back porch fenced off so they won’t poop all over the deck. They automatically get let out of the coop at 6:30 am, and I go out to...

    FLORIDA!!!!!ALWAYS SUNNY SIDE UP!!!

Hello fellow Floridians! I have an Easter Egger with a recurring issue that I can no longer care for. She constantly has poop caked on rock hard inside, around, and on her vent, completely sealing it off. She has never laid an egg in the 4-5 months I have had her. I’ve been giving her bi weekly...

    Easter Egger with recurring issue.

Thank you for the kind words! I’m not sure why this happens to her, or how she even lived this long. I’ve only had her for 4-5 months and given her baths regularly. Her previous owner was pretty hands off and when I took her on the owner said “This is the second time any of us have held her...

    Easter Egger with recurring issue.

This is hawk, a 3-4 year old Easter Egger. She is extremely flighty, a loner, and will not hesitate to beat you with her wings. She has a recurring issue with her vent. She gets poop stuck and caked on rock hard on, around, and inside her vent. I can no longer keep up with bi weekly baths and...
