    Fence height

Thanks for all the (interesting) replies to my question, 'Fence height'. Two more chickens got killed since my first post, I just finished eating the last one. Anyway, we did manage to negotiate after being dissuaded by my wife from spending money on a fence. Result: it flies over the fence...

    Fence height

You're right, 'sagging' is the word I suppose. I can cement the bottom of the net on to the wall.

    Fence height

    Turning eggs

Thanks. I just put them in the box today. We started removing the eggs from this bird because she decided to nest in a place where cats can get at her eggs. They were at room temperature ( 24 to 34 °C) for a week before that. Maybe I should have put them in the incubator straight away.

    Turning eggs

I read that eggs in an incubator need turning 3 - 5 times a day. I generally could do this but I want to go on holiday next week and am wondering if I can get away with just leaving the incubator turned on for a week. Neighbours here in Thailand tell me that they certainly don't turn their eggs...

    Disease diagnosis

Yes I know that bio-security is the most important part of raising chickens, but I am having difficulty deciding what disease nearly wiped out our flock. I am doing my best with the chicken yard. What I need is a simple check list, this symptom present, yes or no ... go to question so and so...

Complete newbie with chickens, living in Thailand

Hi. I have been secretly absorbing information from these forums for some time and have decided to become a member. Living in Thailand, things are very different, we don't get veterinary warnings, that happens by word of mouth if you're lucky (Neighbour lost all his expensive, prize fighting...
