It could be too tight. Both her and the other hen have one. I've never banded any of my other girls, do I just cut it off . He's another picture of her. It looks like the foot with the band is twisted inward
We have two new hens that came to us less than a week ago I noticed today while working in our run, that one of the hens legs seem a bit off, the other hens are normal.
Their old home got rid of them due to them being egg eaters, so we figured that there might be some deficiencies going on...
I'd appreciate that. The comb on 6 is getting a bit more more color now so ,I am leaning cockerel but if there's a chance😅 I do think 6 with end up being a very pretty rooster one day unfortunately
4 suspected pullets , 1 definite cockerel and 1 suspected cockerel. Looking for conformation/opinions
(2nd Pic is the obvious cockerel, 6th is the suspected cockerel)
This one's been fighting a lot with the confirmed cockerel of the bunch. I've been told the red on the shoulder was a definite rooster trait ? The confirmed cockerel has developed a lot more red in the week since I posted him
This little one is the smallest of my friends 6 that I've been raising for her. One of the 6 is already confirmed cockerel. This ones tail is looking a bit wild. Also noticed some green/purple highlights .
I'm taking care of my friend 6 chicks until they're off heat. The EEs are about 3 weeks the OE is 4 weeks. We are both curious about what they will end up looking like. Would love to know what others think also 🥰
Looking to get a couple if coturnix hens in the next week or so. I know some colors cannot be sexed by feather. Currently looking at these too potentially coming home with me. Are either of these sexable colors ?
