Fruit bats and bats that prey on cows? Are you guys having trouble with lemurs and capybaras, too?
HAHAHAHA...no, but I wouldn't be surprised by the crazy things I've been coming across lately.

Wow! I had no idea they'd do that! I hate to kill it in case it has babies...do you just catch it and release it somewhere else? Is there a certain distance you should go before you drop it off?
Thank ya'll but I don't think bats are the problem.....I have fruit bats and they're fine cause they eat all the dang bugs. I am thinking about using a light blanket over the cage until I get this problem solved. A dog may be the answer too....now to research that
At first I thought it was a coyote after the 1st chicken and cat food went missing. After this last chicken, it can't be. I thought it could be a snake but I don't think so because of the feathers where it was pulled through. I bet it's a raccoon!! I just didn't think it could be that strong!!

I am so sorry to hear that. I had the same thing happen about 2 weeks ago. She was taken off her nest at night with no trace and her 7 chicks were left. I think it had to be a fox or coyote for there not to be even a sign of a struggle. I hope yours is a happy ending.
I was having the same thing happen with my baby chicks and my yorkie!! I let them out and sat and watched them together..now I see that she thinks they're her puppies and is so over protective of them. She snapped at the rooster when he walked toward them and attacked the kitten when she tried...
