    i was given this young Rooster today. Three of my hens were killed for sport by what I don’t know. So, I went and got a Rooster and four more hens. I just don’t know enough about the breeds to know what it is.

    Can you have the run be on a concrete pad?

    If I did that on the concrete then I shouldn't have any worries about animals getting in through by digging. That's a great idea! I am completely new to this and I want to do this with my grandson so that he may learn responsibility.

    I have a 8 foot by 20 foot concrete pad in my backyard. I want to have a raised coop but was not sure if I built the raised coop and run on concrete would be a good idea. Any input?
