You may have to modify with new screws etc. raise at least half way up? Put a board over those nest boxes with a roost bar a few inches above that also.

It looks to be a bit low, I know my girls like to be up high when they sleep. Have you tried putting them in there? You may want to show them where they should sleep at night. I had to show mine one night and then they got it on their own. And raise the roosts.

Do they have roost bars inside the coop? Hard to see, looks like some low ones maybe?

I’m new to this but I personally think they’d be fine. Mine were ok at that age for same nighttime temps.

I had to soak mine (chick) 3-4 times a day for about 10 minutes each for awhile. Also massage the abdomen. I could get her poo a tiny bit each time until it finally all came out. Took about a week. Good luck.

I’d say just keep trying small amounts of things, they’ll eventually figure it out.

How old are they? Mine did the same thing when they were very young, anything new was a potential chicken murderer. Now they dive into anything. Just be patient and keep trying new things.
