Scrapwood pumpkin!

The missus wanted some wooden planter boxes .... so this happened. Always keep scrap wood around! (And that's German Ivy, apparently. Didn't even realize that was a thing!)

I have a talented and generous sister, who just dropped this by.

My work sponsors a charity auction each year, and I volunteered to make a planter, then made this garden basket from the scrap. The stain is still blotchy in this photo but it mellowed out after a few hours.

A couple Christmas presents I knocked out today: a carved walnut bowl (previously a chunk of firewood) and a scrap wood hod. Hope they like them!
