    I have a flock of five lavender Ameraucana hens who are not quite two years old. For a year they all layed beautiful blue eggs. About two almost three months ago they all stopped laying. So late fall, early winter. Egg production went down a bit in my other (assorted breed) eleven hens as well...

    Duck making odd sounds

    Check her nostrils to see if they have dirt or crust blocking them. If she does you can soften and remove it with a cloth with warm water. Also watch if her breathing is normal. It would be unusual but ducks can get respiratory illnesses.

    Big day at Kat’s Chicken Lounge! The leghorn youngsters have begun laying! I don’t know which one was not sure where to lay an egg properly, but she put it under the chair. 😂 My egg basket looks good with some white ones again!

    Aw, he is a pretty cat. I’m sure you will win him over. We always have stray cats and dogs roaming around. It’s sad.

    He is super friendly, too. He comes right up to me and chuckles to me. He is so cute! I would love to keep him, but I am lucky that I have been able to keep Archie and Elvis together! They grew up together and Elvis is more mellow and easy going, so they don’t step on each other’s toes.
