I bought some chicks today and stupidly mixed them up before put any sort of identification on them.
3 are supposed to be olive eggers, 2 beifelders, 1 I think is supposed to be a welsummer.
Is there anyway to tell them apart?
No heat pack. Shipping was 3 days and they were day old chicks.
When I got them out of the box they all looked really good. They all ate and drank. So I thought I had, had good luck this time.
I picked up my new chicks yesterday from the post office. All looked great. Came home from work today and one was dead and another one is very very lethargic.
I gave it a few drops of nutri drench. The brooder temp is between 90 and 95.
The one that died did have a very mild case of pasty...
So i believe i have 2 roosters and i am hoping one hen.
The solid black olive egger is definitely a rooster.
The lighter headed easter egger i believe is also a rooster.
But the darker headed easter egg is the one i am hoping is a hen.
What do yall think?
I received my day old chicks from meyers hatchery yesterday by mail. 1 of the 4 did not survive the trip. 2 of the survivors are doing great. But the one little wheaten maran is fairly lethargic.
No pasty butt but just has no energy, cant seem to stay awake.
I syringe fed it some warm water...
What do i do with all these roosters?
I know i will probably keep number 1 because it is very sweet and tame. I guess someone might want the belgian d'uccle roosters because they are a more unique breed...
And i guess i can eat number 3 because that one has the worst personality ever. I just...
