@sourlandthank you very much. It hasn't been super cold anymore (the joys of living in southeast texas) so we haven't need edit he light though we are expecting a hard freeze this weekend. I did make it more ventilated though and it seems to be working. Thanks again for your help
@Hokum Coco I don't think its frost bite... It's like the skin was hard and chipped off with the feathers intact. I had one die last week but it was like it had a heart attack and seizures. It was bad. I've never seen anything like it before. It doesn't get below freezing thar much I just worry...
I have had my aviary for Three years now and this winter we decided to do something a little different. Instead of using sheets for wind block we used tarps with only the front door as the opening. I don't know if the lack of fresh air along with a red heat light instead of a black one has done...
