Yes this is the replacement, it has 2 stable legs with “feet” on both sides.

Ducklings climbing on top of heat plate

When did you all move yours outside? And when can I take them out to enjoy some sunshine (although it looks like we won’t have any of that for at least a week)?

Ducklings climbing on top of heat plate

I have also had the kaki and buff escape twice by simply jumping out the pool while I was at work.

Ducklings climbing on top of heat plate

New duckling eating but not drinking

Just got 2 new ducklings today from Metzer. My Welshman harlequin is eating but not drinking. How is that even possible? I’ve been dipping her beak every once in a while when she gets some food in her mouth. I have yet to see her to it herself. She seems otherwise fine.

Ducks 1 week apart in the same brooder

Ducks 1 week apart in the same brooder

Right now they are in a kiddie pool (inflatable) in my bedroom which is probably around 75 degrees. It would be hard to put up a divider I think.

I received my order of 11 ducklings from metzer this last Thursday, unfortunately one of them did not make it so I will be receiving a replacement of two ducks sometime this week. By then my ducklings will already be a week old and I am wondering if I can put the new arrivals in the existing...
