    My RI Red hen over the past few weeks has developed swelling in front of both of her eyes. It's exactly the same size on each eye. She doesn't seem to be bothered by it, she's eating well and laying every day, pooping fine. I can't detect any discharge. Can anybody tell me what's going on...

    Help - I noticed that a couple of my darker hens - the RIR and Black Aussie - have a few little white dots on their backs. I didn't think much about it, but then I noticed that the white dots moved!!! Is it lice? Should I dust them and the coop with Sevin? Do I have to throw the eggs away...
