Even though there is yellow legged hatch, most come green legged. Look up grey gamefowl, your hen has some grey blood in her to come the color she is. Probably a grey crossed on hatch maybe, unless you did the breeding or the original breeder kept track of what her parents are, no one will ever...
We were going to use some malay in our orloff breeding program, had a great pair, but they just never produced for us. Was sad too were great birds. Orloffs were cool as well.
"Chu-shamo is just a lighter weight-class of the O-Shamo. In type they should completely resemble the big O-Shamo." Straight out of "Oreintal Gamefowl" by Horst W. Schmudde.
He is from a henny line cross, crossed to Jumper kelso then bred back to the henny side. "Pure" is always a funny catch word when you talk of American Gamefowl. I would say yes, he is a pure American Gamefowl :)
Here is a pic of dad from a year or so ago.
Mom is solid black with a few flecks of red in her hackles. Dad lost all his sharp saddle feathers his 2nd year molt.
Their "breed" looks to be American Gamefowl. If you are wanting to know what "family" or "strain" they are, only the original breeder can tell you that.
Depends on the line, they are mostly the big shamo type birds though. There are smaller, asil type lines from brazil too. The most common is the bigger ones it seems.
