Also I don’t see any signs of bubbles in her eyes, no trouble breathing, no peck marks, no discharge, and she acts like there is nothing wrong with her :/
So one of my Easter eggers (Muffin) has been acting a little off for a while (3 months) and I had put her on vitamins for two weeks cause I think she had a deficiency kinda like wry neck but she looked dizzy
And yesterday she was fine in the morning but I came out to check in the afternoon and...
So my almost 6 year old chicken (her name is flower//I didn’t name her my 6yr old cousin did lol) laid a weird egg over a month ago but I wasn’t able to confirm that it was a lash egg cause it was more like an abnormal egg but I had no idea which of my 11 chickens had laid it either. I’ve been...
Sorry she moves way too much these are the best pictures I could get
I've been cleaning her beak with hydrogen peroxide (I don't have vetericyn spray) 3x a day to prevent infection
All of the tissue underneath what broke off is fully intact so it still covers her tongue
I did separate her from...
This is my 8 month old Easter egger muffin.
At first I thought she was pecking on someone but nobody else was injured or bloody so I looked closer an saw she loss the top tip of the beak with the tissue underneath exposed : ((
I brought her inside and tried to clean off the exposed tissue with...
I gave her a vitamin e pill but I squeezed the juice out into her mouth instead of putting the whole thing in there and gave her some scrambled egg yesterday
She’s already doing so much better today but I’ll continue to give her vitamins for the couple of weeks
Also I’m going to conclude she...
Hey guys I think I found out what chicken laid that egg!
This is my almost 2 year old lavender Orpington
She barely started growing her feathers back after molting in the winter she also stopped laying and is trying to start up again I guess ??
Anyway found her with what looks like a broken...
Possibly 4 inches in length 😬
This egg looks like lash from the outside but doesn’t have those puss layers on the inside instead it was hollow filled with grayish green liquid which does not look like scrambled eggs to me lol
Yeah I’m definitely going to have to go get some amoxicillin!
The problem is what hen am I going to give it to I’m not sure..
Carefully watching for symptoms
Should I just give it to all the ones that aren’t laying or should I wait for more signs
Yeah I know I didn’t get much of the inside but in person it was pretty hollow still couldn’t tell because I really didnt want to get up close and personal 😅
My legs and stomach were very weak 😂
