Checking-In On Peeps - Post Here To Say Hello!

Hi, I have ‘chicken matched’ my way up to 18 since 2000, and love them all. (4 Brahmas, 2 Cuckoo Marans, 2 Orpingtons, 1 Swedish flower (designated Queen), 1 Ameraucana, 1 CookiesnCream, Green Queen, 2Ducks),I’m afraid one of my black sex-link chicks is a cockerel, though, so he will need a new...

Young hen lethargic, eliminating clear fluid, not eating

Great Update. The Poultry Nutri-Drench seems to have an amazing result. She is eating and drinking normally today. I’m watching as I know chickens are wily 😁; but I am much encouraged! I dosed the flock and fed them all warm oatmeal snd added bruisers yeast yo their food as it’s moulting...

I am a 3 year Newbie so this is a very humble, simple idea that worked for me / But if experienced chicken folk say otherwise, trust them! 😊 I used these splints and tape successfully. Best thoughts being sent!

Young hen lethargic, eliminating clear fluid, not eating

Thank you for responding! Her crop is soft. She is swallowing okay. Would worms show in her stool? There’s no blood or unusual aspect since she ate some scrambled egg. She is standing instead of sitting as she sleeps, is that normal? I left water and newly cooked steel cut oatmeal in the crate...

Lost Barred Cochin to Neurological Virus

Today my 5 month old hen had to be euthanized. She had been eating and drinking normally, or so I thought. She had some odd tics, but was active & incredibly cuddly. This morning she collapsed snd I took her immediately yo the Vet. I was told she had a neurological virus that attacked her...

Amazing - though not really as they are very beautiful, healthy ducks, they are already going to an ideal new home, a farm with other ducks & lots of room in Saco. I am very grateful! Yes, the chickens are relieved! 😊

Thank you! Now I’m looking to place. Breeding pair of Khaki Campbell ducks. 4 months old, also hand raised…but the drake keeps trying to create ‘chucks’…The chickens were not receptive! And then I learned the hens could die due to drake’s, um, physiology. I have so much to learn!

My flock is all inoculated, no mites & are in tip top shape, per vet one month ago. Best news- they live in a very large hardware-cloth (all sides and underground) reinforced pen that has a roof. Visitors wear disposable booties over their shoes. I can’t claim to be a knowledgeable farmer so I...
