Khaki is homozygous Dun. It's on the I locus with dominant white. I think you are right about her color but it is similar to my khaki female but lighter. It's so weird. If she is hetero dominant white then she is a paint. No you won't get khaki by a lavender and paint cross.

So my friend that has silkies says that silkies that are splits for mottled show mottling when young but it disappears when they grow out. I said no that's impossible for a recessive trait. Splits don't show it or else it would be incomplete dominant.

Thank you. However Polish are very small birds. Not sure if bantam or not but I have spoken to this breeder. I have lost trust with her because my friend bought eggs from her. Her Ameraucanas had straight combs.... So basically Easter eggers.
Lol I have chocolate - Choc gene- sex linked Ameraucana chicks and Dun chocolate chicks. If you mix those you get Beige. I'm pretty interested in that too. I have several project pens.
I finally got my Dun. Unfortunately there was a mix up with platinum hens so there's blue in there also. Please correct me if Im wrong. This is my first time working with this gene.
