I have 7 year old bunching onions that I started from seed. They seed every year and keep on growing.
Chicken doodoo ftw!
So long as they have lots of damp mulmy leaf litter or wood they leave plant tissue alone.
I'm an adult and I still play with them. 😁
I would leave the moles alone if...
I watered and fertilized things today. Battling another mole that has taken up residence in the tunnel of the one I got last week. Never ends.
I have responses to previous pages of content saved in my multi quotes. Not enough time to do that this evening. I love all the pictures!!! Everyone's...
...and sucks water back into the tank when it cools (So you have to keep in mind that the water is getting mixed back in, the water from the trough, I mean). But I keep a close eye on the good bacteria balance. I never sterilize the waterer, there is good bacteria there. Just like a fish tank...
there's two different ODs for 1/2" there's the 0.634 and 0.700. make sure everything you have works for that .634 you got. The hose bib connectors and fittings I mean.
I use a Hori Hori for almost all of my precision weeding; a hula hoe for most everything else; then fire for what I don't want...
...@NanaK 's DANG! Looking great! There's a bunch of other gardens that are looking amazing as well. We'll catch up here, or beat a dead horse tryin'! *shakes fist*
I just mowed my lawn; I'm looking forward to overseeding it in the fall.
Oh yeah, and I went to get the eggs after my post around...
Welcome to the party! I can hardly wait for you to share pictures!
This is my first year growing potatoes as well; growing them on accident from peels that were in my compost bin. There's 3 of them in my cucumber/tomatillo/Bell pepper bed. My husband is very excited as he loves potatoes. 🥴...
My SIL had issues with her Baker Creek seeds this year; I didn't order from them for this season. I ordered from Johnnys select seeds and MIGardener. out of everything I planted; aside from the tray of seeds that I cooked on accident... TWICE... Same tray... Ehem; aside from those, everything...
I didn't even know there were different kinds of bags until I saw hers. 😂
My kitchen is lacking storage, I actually have a cabinet out in the garage for some of my excess canning equipment, jars and supply overflow.
I do not own any bowls with pour spouts. I don't even have a pyrex glass...
Do the lids seal? You can overfill the trays with liquids if you use baggies. I've seen it done with milk and raw eggs.
6:18 is the beginning of the tips. My favorite is the milk, 7cups per tray with baggies, 4cups without!
My favorite way to make sourdough, use a ceramic coated cast iron dutch oven that I preheat to 400, then I crank up the heat to 450 with it sealed up for 25m, then take off the lid for another 25m. Using parchment paper to move my dough from the bowl to the dutch oven keeps it from deflating...
HA, I read this after my prior comment. That's what I get for replying before catching up to the current page. :P
Seriously I pruned my grape vines this morning! Haha! :D
You are pre-freezing your food, right? Save some energy and freeze your foods in food storage bags in the trays; then cut them off of the food and pop them in the freeze dryer.
I had a dream last night that she turned out to be a rooster. 🤣 I'm blaming you!
I'll take photos of mine today! 💚
Pants suck and so do shoes! Unless you're weed eating or using a power tool. 🤣
Ooooo! Nice bundle! We have a Kubota M6800 with the L1002 loader and a box scraper with manual...
I have one, pullet, I thought was a cockerel. You can look at my thread about her to see photos. She's always had a pretty red comb and waddles.
For your flower seeds, did you check to see if any needed to be cold stratified? Some seed companies don't keep their seeds cold enough, and so you...
I use small crushed rock. We got it for laying pavers but never used it .... The bags started breaking down in the sun so I decided to use them between my beds. I have weeds these days but I could easily fix that, just haven't because some of it is chamomile, dill, and cilantro.
I have a bunch...
My tomatillos got frozen before they ripened last year. DS smashed them all. Over. The. garden. I thought, "they were young, the seeds can't be viable". Oh how wrong I was.
I'm going to have a ton of tomatillos this year. What's interesting is how much more impressive the volunteer plants are...
I prep as much as I can in advance. I've spent many, many 10+ hour days in the kitchen canning. 😂 I try not to do that anymore.
We don't usually have unexpected cold rainy days. When we do, I am in the kitchen. 😁
