I can't wait for the squares! i'm super excited
We've been working on clearing out 2 bedrooms that have turned into storage rooms over the last 2 years... lots of furniture and stuff i'd forgotten was even there.
I'm Excited! I just got my last 2 books in the mail... "The Granny Square Book" & "Crochet Stitches Visual Encyclopedia"... now if i can only decide which squares to make by the time the next swap comes around!!
I went to the library and got the book "teach yourself visually: crochet" when i first started learning. That is the MOST wonderful book!! I was whipping out all kinds of stuff in no time after i got the hang of how to yarn over and where to put the hook. I am currently waiting on the knitting...
I knew it, it was just a scam so she can create the worlds biggest afghan!!!
Smitty's Farm :
Oh my precious...as I wring my hands!!!! Oh they are ALL mine!!! ALL mine, mine, mine!!!!! I tricked every single one of you. I will keep them all and cherish them forever! Just kidding...
Since I finished my squares I have been working nearly non-stop on the blanket for my sister! I have been working all morning(and last night!) on attaching the squares and have finally started on the first edge of the border.... I feel liek my arms are going to fall off I'm still not sure...
That hand dyed orange/pink is to die for!! I am also loving the green next to it!

Um... Why not??
I'm in the process of rearranging my 3 bedrooms upstairs (since my 3 children have all moved out and I'm 'empty nesting'). My old fiber room rapidly became the 'room where all things...
I have mine set to go already. We just found out my sister is pregnant so I started working on a blanket for her. I have all the colored squares done but now i have to start on 24 white squares, ugh! I know she's going to love it though
She's doing good. I really think it was the Hops roots she was chewing on. The swelling is gone but there's a small lump on her lower jaw still. the opposite side seems a little tender still and she definitely eats slower now. She is back to her puppy self again though, thankfully.
Every once...
My sets are ADHD sets compared to your guys, I just got too bored with a single pattern, lol. I will have to post a picture of the craziness i've created
Also, do we label the bags or label the blocks themselves?
I don't even know how many different colors are in all my squares. I did use some yarn i had leftover along with some new stuff. It's a good thing these aren't for the same blanket/project!!

Where is everyone at on their set(s)? I am slowly working on my second set now, i think I have 7 more to go. I was asked to make some hats to sell at Fridays football games for Project Graduation here in town, to help raise money for the seniors in low income families to do their senior trip &...
Okay, so I just realized... I wonder if some of mine are going to be okay for the swap? the ones with the curvy edges? (like the one the rose is on)
are those okay with everyone? if not I can change the border to make them square. I am on my second set so i've got time!
I got the rose attached, It looks better than I thought it would I just knew it was going to take up the entire square, lol. I made the "medium" rose and it ended up being pretty big. It's made the square pretty bulky but hopefully it'll fit into someones GS project!
