I think you should keep him in his trampoline pen for a month or two so he knows where his new home is. Then after that he will free range close to wherever he sleeps at night.

You said it looks like a respiratory infection. My birds have wet noses sometimes and sometimes have trouble breathing. One chicken died last year, just got sick and lethargic, never knew why... :(

Oh, I think it might too early to tell. I can always tell because the Roos have big combs and their head feathers look like really bushy eyebrows with a few sticking out feather.
