So after what seems like a whole life time, i finally got my babies all grown up......... here are a couple pictures of them, what do you guys think? I got rid of my Splash roo, and Blue roo and kept my Black roo.
I know red looks pretty orange in these photos, and when i can say i...
Hello all!
I have two maybe (3?) Blue laced red wyandotte roo's for sale. two are black or maybe double laced black (idk) and the questionable one is blue....
I would like them ideally to go somewhere they will be king of a flock, but if you are eating them I dont want to know about it. lol...
you mean like separate? or kill...? I certainly wont kill her for having a single comb then. and i think she will just stay right where she is granted she is a she! thanks.
I hatched out 13 BLRW chicks about 2-3 weeks ago, one died and that left me with 12 now.
Yesterday or the day before, I noticed that one of them has a single comb...
I thought they are suppose to have rose combs?
Does this mean that my chick is a rooster?!? I have no idea what is going...
awesome! we cant participate due to the fact we didn't document our coop throughout the progress, but I'm really excited about this, and to see every ones submissions. This site is so helpful, and I'm thinking of building a new coop soon so I'm sure this will be helpful then too!

Hope was my first Lavender Orpington, I loved the breed and have a tendency to buy all of the same breed, I had planned on buying a whole flock of Blue Laced Red Wyandottes this year (2012) but thought for a moment, what other breed or color would I like to see with them, I soon decided that I...
...don't get rid of the cat... nothing more... when you are emotionally distraught and come somewhere like this site and post after a loss, you would *hope* that the people responding would be compassionate. I know i would. I myself have had trouble with this site before, watching my chickens...
I think most of you need to show a little more compassion. this person comes to this site, in pain and almost frantic it sounds like, maybe even shock that it happened. (not to have things sugar coated and I'm not saying to). but maybe instead of posting comments that are rude, you can say...
ok first thanks for the relpy!
Second, thats the thing, its just one hen out in the coop/run by herself... no rooster, no other chick-friends.... so weird. thats what i was wondering too, but how!?!?
