Yes. Though hubby did ask if they could be put in sous vide. Had to tell him eggs needed air and oxygen

I put 2 dozen silkie eggs in the slow cooker. 1.5 dozen were blue. Doubting fertility with the temps. Here's hoping

We eat in season fresh. Canned is for winter and emergencies. I prefer frozen as well. I need to start canning beans. The texture is perfect for salads and it's cheaper than buying. That canned flavor I hate in peas and green beans doesn't seem to be in the salt free versions. Texture still sucks.

Winco and Fred Meyer are less than a block away from each other on opposite sides of the road here. I shop them a lot. Winco is most of our groceries. Walmart is a traffic light from Fred Meyer and I go there for certain things. They have a good selection of no salt veggies both canned and...

Grocery Outlet is one of those stores where you have to know the regular price for things at other stores. Sometimes you can find good deals, sometimes its cheaper elsewhere

I'm not exactly falling apart. I'm more of making an effort to remove parts on accident. Sliced off a good chunk of skin from the underneath of my left index toe a couple days ago. On the vacuum base. It's not actually sharp. Neither one of us can figure out how I did it. Then I got asked...

Mom wasn't around when I first went out to try for a picture of her on the nest. Babies are getting big quick. Taken with phone. Had camera with a telephoto lens on so managed a picture of mom around dusk. I think it's a calliope hummingbird.

I make them stay locked up until evening. I leave greenhouse tarps on the west and south side all year. They actually make it noticeably cooler in the pens when its hot. Other sides are open and roof is 9 feet up

I can cross "attacked by hummingbird" off my bucket list Pulled down a branch on a tree to get a good leaf picture because I couldn't remember ash type. Bird to the face. Yelling and diving so I tried to get a picture of the hummingbird. Then I saw the cup on next branch. Quickly took a pic and...

We have a lot of garter snakes. I have to pause the mower and move them sometimes. They don't go anywhere near the chicken pens. Had to rescue one from the cats once. Old dogs would sniff them then leave be. Hermes wants to eat them I think.

Im in pretty good shape no more therapy or doctors visits except for annual right now. Hubby isn't too bad. Brain MRI tomorrow as a checkup from that small stroke he had 5 years ago. He sees nephrologist every 6 months.
