Thanks! It's exciting to know other people are on the same page. No mushrooms yet, but the mycelium is looking good. This bed is pink oyster, and if it goes well I'll probably expand into wine caps.
I actually don't have garlic or chives yet, just "garlic chives" which is a perennial relative...
Okay so we are in our first year and we're relatively space limited, but we already have in a mushroom bed, plum trees, and an annual garden.
I'm looking into perennial veggies, just got some garlic chive seeds, hoping to get some egyptian walking onions too.
Hoping to expand into bees and BSF...
Starlings are invasive, but I've heard of people wanting them as pets. This little guy landed at my friend's feet and the local wildlife place won't take starlings. So if you or someone you know is interested please let me know. Thanks.
Can anyone in Southern IN rescue this lil guy? My friend found a starling and the local wildlife place won't take it except to euthanize it. Any takers????
This is my Sussex at 8 weeks, I'm leaning pullet?
And then there's Shea. Still confusing the heck out of me. So this is my smallest bird, shorter than my Polish. But I see those combs and wattles so I don't know what I'm looking at here.
So I've never tried this fruit, but apparently this 'flying dragon' citrus can grow in zones 5-10 https://www.fast-growing-trees.com/products/hardy-orange-tree-flying-dragon
Also it just occurred to me that I'm thinking about shopping online because I'm new to Lansing. Hopefully I'll have local...
Hi everyone!
What is your favorite site for ordering trees and perennials? Specifically trees/shrubs/perennials for an edible garden. This year it's probably too late to get trees ordered and planted, but I'm wondering where you've had the best experience ordering trees and perennials so I can...
I'm doing an oyster bed for the first time this spring. I just laid out cardboard and layered the mycelium with hay (meant to get straw but it's working) but here's a video of a few different methods, good luck!
I'm going back and forth between pulling the wall or having it divided. I've got a polish and a crested mix that are slightly smaller than my other birds so being able to keep them separate could be good, but yeah bedding access could be a downside
Okay so I'm trying to figure out how to expand this, and here's what I'm thinking. Basically I'm planning to build a mirror addition. Same height, roofline, window placement, pop door, clean out door, but without the nest boxes. So I'm thinking about having a sliding door where the brown square...
Oh hi! fyi that is not their run security, that was how I had them hanging out off to the side while building the actual run security, which is still not even 100% done, sorry I missed this comment! I've been a very busy builder, here's an update. The learning curve is very real.
