ok, so... isn't an easter egger, by definition, a mixed breed (mutt?) who lays a blue/green egg? so if she doesn't lay blue-green eggs, wouldn't that just make her a mutt?
sorry about the confusion, i saw easter egger and immediately presumed all easter eggers laid blue green eggs...
i mark all eggs with at least breed/variety (in pencil) and sometimes set date for my own eggs so i don't forget when to put them in the hatcher...
you need to send 6+, but many i think are way more generous than that. i got 11 guinea eggs, sent out 12 (i think?) dorkings
x2, x3 etc is how...

no problem on the mixup, it happens... i only had 1 cracked, and the dog cleaned it up quite willingly for me. LOL
as for bug control, the chickens do quite well at that too as everyone is free ranged unless they're in a breeding pen. usually the majority of the chicklets and...
ok guess i got one of the 'oops' guinea packages. LOL
since i know NOTHING about guineas (except hubby says "no guineas, no way!"), how long do they incubate?
well i got 2 boxes of eggs today, haven't had a chance to see who sent them, if they're from here or another swap LOL. just got home and it's pouring so the eggs are still in the truck.
and had hoped to send out my eggs yesterday after work, but things conspired against me. like they're...
well my swap's eggs are going out today... they seem to go on strike when it's cold and raining, and this week was no exception. LOL. i just wanted to have enough to send, since i've added a few pullets that were free ranging a bit over a week ago or so, so one or 2 of the eggs might be mixed...
i'll get my eggs out friday or saturday. sent off one box yesterday (not from this swap), so my swap-ee is next in line. 8)
i put 3 pullets in the pen, thinking they weren't laying yet and would you believe 2 of them are already? LOL fortunately i can tell their eggs from the 'mature'...
well, i would pass on waterfowl and guineas, but have never tried turkies. i'm looking around for eggs right now (wild turkeys) but haven't found any sign of the nests yet... we've got 2 fairly large flocks on the property and hubby loves egging the toms on in the morning. LOL

don't think i'd want eggs already started under a hen, but mark the ones you let her keep and then check for extras daily. 8) you could ship them. (i don't want guineas but i think dinahmoe does.)

good luck with her... in my past experiences, i'd hoped for the same thing but ended up with a minimal hatch because she'd roll the cold eggs under and put the warm ones out... so most ended up as blood rings pretty early on. i'd say wait until she goes to eat or something, and candle...
LOL well one of my reliable layers is awol. so she's either dinner, broody, or has decided to relocate herself to someone else's pens... don't miss the bad attitude tho. (and she's not in the swap, she's not a good quality anything except for eatin' eggs)
and one of my pullets was penned...

I'm kinda with you. 8) i like surprises to a point... i'm hoping the eggs are at least labelled what they are so i know what to expect at hatching. i HATE hatching out mystery chicks and having to wait 6-8 weeks before i know what they might be. and even then my guesses have usually...
ok well i'm not sure if i should tell my swap person who i am, because it's pretty obvious what you'll get from my sig...
but just for what it's worth... the eggs will go out later this coming week. i have one shipment in line ahead of you.
