It's always been H1N1. That's not a new name for it. I thought they were just calling it swine flu because that's easier to pronounce than H1N1...and easier to remember. Avian flu was H5N1. They're actually just mutant forms of the same virus, but apparently the H1N1 subtype should be the same...
I think I would start my "Going Green" program by first stating that every lawn owner must have two chickens...unless of course they are allergic. That would save gas by not transporting eggs everywhere and chickens make great pets.
Hello,
Yesterday I noticed that my polish hen's wattles have suddenly grown larger and purplish. She normally has very short bright red ones so the change freaked me out a little bit and from reading some of the posts on here it sounds like I should be concerned.
Other than the change in the...
Oh hey I am going to the Chicken and Egg Festival! I'm not sure which day I'm going yet. Last year they didn't really have much in the way of real chickens though. I guess it was just the first time it was ever held. There was one man who was showing off like ...30 breeding pairs of his show...
I don't know anything about barns...but I thought it was kind of weird that they built it up a hill rather than on flat ground. I did a very little bit of research (because it's the middle of the night and i'm getting tired!) but it almost seems like you've got a tiny version of this kind of...
College: University of Alabama in Huntsvule

Classification (Freshman, Senior, etc.): I'm kind of a Junior now, was an art student before so I have enough credits to be a senior.
I would just like to work in a lab somewhere, especially if it deals with animal...
Seabright roosters have this really cool looking comb that makes me think of dragons, but then the hens have virtually no comb or waddles to speak of and look almost like beautiful pigeons rather than chickens.

Yea, you'd be surprized at how many short haired dogs there are that come in frequently. I'm not sure about all of the reasons they do it...but i think like you said a lot of them don't want to do thing like trim nails or express picky glands. At the moment I think a lot of people are...
Ah that picture is so cute! I work at a petsmart and I've wanted to bring my rooster in one day when I'm off work just to show he to my friends there. I got a cute little bag I can slip him into and his head would stick out of the top...just like a Hollywood Chihuahua. I haven't yet because I...
I work in a dog grooming salon and well...before I worked there I liked labs ok...after 5 months I'm convinced that they are one of the worst dogs. They always jump on people and they always pull on their leashes so hard that they choke themselves even when they are NOT trying to go somewhere. I...
I've read a lot about you and taming roosters Rooster Red. Thank you so much for your advice. He hasn't been very nippy lately...but if he does I'll know what to do.
Hey I've got a little cochin roo that looks like your cochin roo! Thanks for posting this pic up! Now I've got an Idea of what my little guy is going to look like.
Hey you are right! Actually Yotta is a number bigger than moles I made up my account while I was studying for my Chemistry exam.
I like the black silkies...they're very poofy. I like big fat chickens.
Hello there,
I've got two cute Austrolorp roos (8weeks) that need a good home...or else we'll have to eat them eventually. I've been letting them free range for the last 4 weeks and they are extremely good at catching insects which is what we wanted...but unfortunately I've got only 4 hens and...
