I have 2 Rhodebar pullets.
What can I use to breed with those 2 girls to give me auto sexing offspring that can still be considered a rhodebar? And what will give me a rhodebar cockerel for future breeding?
I have 2 white crested black. Ones crest is quit a bit bigger and yes they both have wattles. I also have a silver laced. I will try and get a picture. The white crested ones always have their heads down. No one is crowing or mating and they are 5 months old.
How can you tell the difference between a pullet and cockrell? Mine are about 4-5 months old. But I want to get more. Their feathers on the head are stringy, not a tight puff ball like some of these pictured.
So in a few days I'm going to go get a few more chicks. It's from a local store and it's "assorted wyondottes", how can I tell what kind they are at a few days old?
I know for sure I want a golden laced wyandotte, and a blue laced red. And are mille fluers also in the assortment?
So now we are having trouble with introducing our 2 new sweedish with our other 10 week old ducks. 8 are khakis and our blue sweedish and a runner. We also have the adult mom of the khakis. It seems about 3 of the khaki babies really are attacking the new adult ducks. We let them all out...
Well we think our beautiful 10 week old blue sweedish Julia is in fact a drake. Soft quack. So yesterday we found a local breeder who sold us a one year old black sweedish and a silver sweedish ducks. Looks like in a few months we will do some breeding!
