Started with 6 and have 2 left! Today is day 21!! I recently separated her in a dog kennel but in the coop. This is my first time, she went broody and I got fertilized eggs from a local lady. I hope to have them with the flock but will watch them close.
I currently have plastic nesting boxes but thinking of switching to a 4 hole galvanized steel one to create more space. Anyone know how these are in the cold winters? Will that bother the hens?
I have a 1.5 year old hen that always has a poopy butt. I’ve washed her off and don’t see any mites or eggs. Skin looks fine. Tried electrolytes, Corid. She’s lost a few feathers but otherwise seems normal. Any advise? None of my other hens are having problems.
