Nice meeting everyone! Soap, honey, and the first dozen eggs went over well with the other. Got rabbits and roosters as per the imposed rules.... but I had mis understood them and the 3 animal limit was total... not each. OOPS....
Thanks everyone for making the swap awesome!
Thanks! I may leave for a bit between 12 and 3, but will be back around "closing" to help out.
This spring I got in a tad over my head with extra roosters... which is why I haven't said anything till now about it. LOL. I packed over 25 boys and a few spent hens into my little red car. SO was...
Hmm... lots of silkies eh? Today went well so I might hang around all day! LOL
But that also means... I have a bit of time for which extra silkie roosters could come my way if nobody wants them and their owners don't want to take them home...
Have:
Yellow male parakeet as seen in video. He's about 3 now. No nest box, reduced lighting, and the pair will just not stop replicating! So I'm rehoming the boy and sticking to hamsters. LOL
If anyone wants it, bring a small box and I will go and pick it up and bring it back to the swap...
I thought the whole "private event" that "happens to be open to public" was to avoid such issues of selling goods. If someone can't sell goat cheese because you have to be licensed at a "private event".... where would one draw the line? Are people going to need egg handlers, baking...
Rats?
I swear rat traps were designed for mice.
That little guy was fat on chicken feed... live traps were the only way to get rid of them ever since my rat catching feral disappeared. Most don't touch them this size. But if anyone has seen a city rat, those things are HUGE. This guy is...
Port Angeles! Don't blame you for not wanting to make such a long trip!
Thought the spring was back south since the fall is in the middle? Or is there just more people up north? I'm out of the loop. LOL
I don't know the true fast rules on it, but this is just what I do. I try and keep my quarantine pen on the other side of the property or fenced in from the rest who roam, such as in the garden where the rest aren't supposed to go. It's not perfect as any air borne illness could still make it...

Yeah... apartments, aka concrete boxes, are terrible to live in. No matter how many small pets I add, and how much vegetation I can manage to coat on the north facing balcony, it is almost unbearable. I can't wait to graduate and get out of here!
I have a 4x8 quarantine coop/tractor...
Man, if only you knew they were roosters inside of eggs, I'd take them! I really wish I had a way to quarantine! Roosters available left and right, and I NEED a LARGE rooster that can spend the rest of his life watching dozens of girls on the range!!!
Plus... if I could quarantine... I would...
I missed update too...
Bringing:
Nothing- I just don't have time to make anything
Wanting:
Hatching eggs for GIANT cochins. Looking for 10+lb rooster potentials. I can't do adults b/c flock is in WA.

Congrats!!!
And thanks everyone for offer of grown roos! I'm going to have to hatch eggs out for my new roo due to transport timing. I doubt a roo in an apartment will fly at all for even half a day.

I'm going to be putting some orp eggs into the bator in the next few days. I also have a fellow BYCer that is possibly going to send me her English Orp eggs in trade for some culinary wonders. They wouldn't be very old at the point of the swap. Are you looking for something that's...
