I have 3 of the cutest little BLRW that you ever saw that hatched about 3 days ago. Though I have dipped their beaks, I have yet to see them eat or drink. They were very vigorous when they were born and the still seem strong, but I am worried.
Anyone have this happen? I have NEVER not had...

I am having a time trying to figure out which of my chickens are roos. I am not even trying with the Silkies yet! However this morning, one of my silkies started making a funky noise that might have been a crow attempt. I was so excited! It was kind of Mah mah! LOL
My Silkies kind of squeal...
We name everything around here... including bugs. There was a giant spider in my daughter's bathroom. So naturally, the girls wouldn't go in there. We asked the resident bug killer, my husband, to get it. It disappeared only to reappear the next day.
My daughter called him to get it...
Someone posted on another post about how Ideal had a disease in its flocks? MG? I think?
Does anyone know anything about this? I just got some chicks from my local feedstore and they get all their chicks from Ideal. Does anyone have any info on this?
Title changed by request.
We have happily become the dumping ground for our local feed store. When people fail to pick up the chicks they have ordered... they call us and we happily trot up their to purchase them.
We got two Barnvelders that way and now we have two new Dominiques! My husband is up at the feed store...
I look at my Silkies every day and I just don't have a CLUE who is a roo and who is a pullet. What do you look for??? I have even been doing searches and looking at other Silkies on here and I still can't tell the difference.
Any ideas?
I just got my order from Cackle today and two chicks died and one is sick. These are the first chicks that I have EVER had die. I am doing everything that I did before... I don't know what to do...

Hi,
I have a broody Araucana who has been sitting on eggs for over a month. Her first eggs didn't hatch... so I gave her some from the incubator and they didn't hatch either! So some chicks came in from Cackle today and I gave her some of those. She isn't showing much interest. They are in...
Ok... tomorrow my little broody Araucana's eggs are due to hatch. I wonder if they will? I haven't candled or anything. She is only sitting on 4. Neither the roo or her have ear muffs so there shouldn't be the lethal gene problem. Well actually, they could have recessive so that still may...
My DH and I worked on the run for an hour making sure there was no way the smaller chicks could get out and low and behold... Guess what happened?
It was getting dark and all the chickens were going back in the coop when I notice that Valencia is by the gait and she is scooting in a hole under...
