I've used Sunrise feeds, but there was a LOT of waste. I believe it is due to them grinding the cobs, shells and husk in with the feed. New Country Organic, Waynesboro, costs more, but is VASTLY better.

I'm interested in finding a source, in the Central Virginia area, to acquire either a dozen straight run dorking chicks or a dozen hatching eggs, this coming spring. Preferably in late February or early March. Color isn't an issue, though silver gray would be nice... Any thoughts...
This seems pretty strange. I picked up the egg and it 'clanked' against another in the basket, pretty hard. When I unloaded, I checked to find it was cracked almost all the way across the shell, but not through the inner membrane. I set it in the egg monkey and the next morning it looked like...

I've got 6 like your light ones and 4 like the dark ones. Martha hatched them all but, shared the laying duties with one of the hens I got from you. You think eventually I'll be able to tell which chick came from which hen?
Question: 23 days ago I put 10 gamefowl eggs under Martha. 3 days ago they all hatched but one And I removed that egg this morning. This afternoon I counted the chicks three times and there are ten! Any ideas about this..?
Martha is setting her first batch of the season and, for the first time, instead of BA eggs, she's setting 10 Gamefowl eggs! A cross between American and Cubalaya's Oriental stag. Six more days will tell...
