Super adorable! Usually I can’t tell my silkies till they are much older so I think it’s too soon with this one. I’m not the best at sexing chickens though.
If it’s just for night I think you will be fine. But that would just be for sleeping and if they will spend any length of time in there bigger is always better.
Poor girl! I’ve seen some birds come back from nasty injuries. Honestly I think it could go either way. If you can keep it clean and free of infection I think she can make a comeback. Infection is my main worry.

My Easter egged is small bodied, but if you want decent eggs then maybe try mottled houdans. They aren’t bantam size but smaller than LF. I have a mix of bantams, LF and ducks. My only concern would be a large rooster with smaller birds.
I have 2 drake ducks that need a new home. I got them as ducklings last year and they are healthy happy boys who love peas. One Cayuga (crested) and one Khaki Campbell. They are quite happy together and don’t fight eachother. I will be willing to separate them if you only want one.
Ideal isn’t far from me. I have been pleased with their birds and they do ship so I would just ask for no male packing peanuts and order all girls. Any feed stores around? Try Craigslist for other full grown ducks.
If you do get babies, they cannot be kept with her till they are around the same...
