I shall clarify that we did a drive through for the BBQ and ate in the car. We almost brought her to the outdoor dining. 😂
Yes she really liked the pork. She however rejected brisket... She is another Princess.
Happily bathing today. (Poopy is in the front who is not doing so well.)
Hope all is well Manue! I miss you and your chickens.
Yesterday (March 29th) Light got her 2nd implant (8 month after her 1st). She's been going to nesting boxes but no eggs. She behaves completely fine otherwise.
She also enjoyed her 2 hour car ride each way. On the way back home, we stopped...
Yes. I really want to write an article about it, but I feel tooooo busy at this point. :-(
metoclopramide probably needs a subscription.
For now, here are two relevant posts from Shad's thread...
So Light's crop is empty this morning!
:wee :wee :wee
We only gave her slippery elm and metoclopramide for two days. Slippery elm once a day, metoclopramide twice a day.
Yes, Light started her slippery elm medicine on 2/28 Friday. We are also giving her something else vet prescribed half a year ago ( hasn't expired).
Her crop may be a bit tinier this morning.
But this could be due to underlying issue though.
Great news on Laure and dual purpose brush. I...
So glad about Laure. That's a pretty big egg.
I wanted to update that light never went to the vet. The appointment was canceled due to weather and we never rescheduled.
She seems fine except she developed a slow crop for the last 4 days and it's not getting better.
Thank you. I am trying to do only what's necessary, and look out for my own interest. So much good things could have been done if we had good leadership.

I don't have good suggestions for your question. My gut feeling is that give Merle some eggs to keep Chipie/Theo lineage...
Finally somebody is being understanding😅. Thank you.
Light is acting normal. Our area is expecting another snow storm (it really should be the last of this winter) so the vet office already cancelled our appointment on Thursday due to this forecasting. Everything shuts down here when there is...
Light had her implant on June 25th of 2024.
Her comb started to get bigger a week ago.
Today she tried very hard to lay. No egg though.
My husband got all stressed out already, although she is acting normal. Vet appointment in a week.
Little Prince got insanely popular in China when I was in middle school or high school. You'd be uncool if you haven't read it then.🤨. It remains to be popular.
I'm so glad that Alba is on the mend. Tough chicken!
Mr Bug in his full glory, compared to snow.
I want to post a meimei photo. She is the chicken at the bottom. This is rare snow photo for us.
I also thought this photo of Mr bug poking his head out as snow is partially melting is very cute.
Meimei is doing good. You are indeed correct about different weak shell behavior. Meimei's egg shell is getting better. I think she has laid her 4th of 5th egg by now and the shell are more consitent and OK. They are still weak relative to Foxy's or Inky's but that is just genetic.
Meimei is...
It is a blessing that your parents are basically still in good shape!
I am sorry about Alba :-(. Laure is worrisome too.
After a long winter break from laying, Meimei laid two very fragile eggs. First one broke upon touching, 2nd one got a tiny bit better. I was able to carry it back to house.
Sorry about Alba :( Remind me of our Tina who slowly declined.
It is interesting to hear about Laure's implant. Light had her implant in late June and no sign of laying. I hope that she has gone through her henapause during this time and she just won't lay anymore!
I do enjoy your writings in general. I don't feel like they go on forever.
Almost yes. I am very bad with numbers in English. I still have to count in Chinese. I definitely still come across new words and try to learn them.
Sometimes I feel like I am learning as how a baby was learning: I...
