I gave my broody Partdidge Orp 6 Polish babies to raise. She's been so good with them so far. I have another broody Partridge. She only has one egg left. I'll try giving her some chicks too, when my incubator hatches. It's so cute watching them climb all over her.
I'm not really sure what green grass and leaves look like anymore. Thanks for the reminder as I still have a little bit of snow on the ground. We might get to 55 today. Baseball games in the 30's is nuts! About froze last night.
My first partridge Orp hatched just after midnight. Hopefully I get a few more this weekend.
I love Nellie's blue Partridge!
We got that snow too. In fact Detroit broke a 100+ year snowfall record. Now on to spring and warmer weather.
My Partridge are slowly laying too, Now if I can get them to lay in the box too that would be great. They seem to have quit laying outside, so that's a positive step. goofy girls.
I have an almost year old Jubilee that's decided to go broody. We gave her some eggs. She's so far determined.
Nellie our weather has been brutal! I think my house was on the heavy snow band every time we had a big snow fall. I just put 6 week old Jubilees outside this weekend because it's been so stinkin cold.
I have the genesis 1588 too and it's worked great.
My roos have some comb damage. Not too bad but enough. These birds have really done well despite the crazy weather. Now their runs are sloppy. They have loved the sunshine we've gotten this week. Now hopefully the bad stuff is gone! I am tired of seeing white every where.
