That’s what kind of confused me too and that a weasel could of easily taken down more than one but I guess I have two big Brahma roosters so they could of scared it off
Looking closely at the hen I think I felt a break but that could of just been the weird position ( they were both stiff by the time I found them )
Thank you, I’ll look around for hardware cloth
Martens aren’t in my area nor are Norway rats
Anyways it is secure with pallets and the gaps are covered with small gaped chicken wire it’s a pretty high fence, there is no top. No holes or gaps between the pallets and the ground
I’ve had loads of dogs, cats, foxes snakes try to get in but haven’t
I was gone for the day and came back to two dead chickens
One hen ( Moon ) and one rooster ( jack )
Jack was killed in the back of the run where there is no trees and feathers everywhere. ( in the coop there is also feathers) Half of his comb is ripped off and small puncture wounds.

I treated him for like 2 1/2 weeks maybe longer... but I got dewormer and am treating tomorrow and cocci see I don’t think he would of made it this long if it was and I did treat for it the last two days of our chick it cleared up ( I was trying 3 other ways at that time ) so I don’t know if it...
And he is skinny but that comes along with sour crop in my experience and I feel like is slowly gaining weight
Ps the stuff that comes out is a musty yellow
He is eating not really drinking for like 4 days so I have been mixing lots of water with his food
Active but stumbles easily
Please please excuse the mess I have been packing and in town haven’t gotten to cleaning up
He truly is beautiful and a mosaic
So this 6 month old chicken has had sour crop for like forever and it won’t go away I have tried vaginal yeast cream. ( that got expensive), Epsom salts, oils, and it got better for 1 day but I messed up😫 and chickens dumped hay exposing straw to him and he ate it now nothing is working...
Ok so she is standing and chirping. I cleaned the area and checked the other chicks they also had very little but it wasn’t covering the vent in any way so I cleaned that up. The chick still isn’t eating or drinking and it’s moving around a bit
we haven’t had many problems except for a sour crop that won’t go away but a 2 week old chick started off with a bloody poop stuck to it now it can keep its head up I doubt it’s marvels because it’s rare in this age we were treating for cocci but then this happened help me .
It’s not pasty I...
